Review project briefs to understand the nature of a project and the business perspective behind it. If needed conduct brainstorming sessions with clients and internally.
Create deliverables lists, estimating the time for each and assign to team members.
Research clients’ current digital presence, their competitors and inspirational websites in order to create a style that will envelope the whole project.
Create wireframes that will show the user experience, navigational flow and calls to action. In company with the client facing team, gain agreement to style and outlines. The deliverables can be for a bespoke web-site, social media platforms, mobile platforms and other media.
Create design for the wireframes, involving senior developers for logic flow if needed
Brief production, client facing team and clients themselves to ensure agreement to all deliverables.
Review the output from software product and social media production for design compliance
Continually keep up to date by researching latest trends.
Maintain and improve design standards in the company
Monitor and supervise other members of the design team as needed.
Review with management, escalating in a timely and professional fashion when needed.
Making presentations to client audiences or professional peers
Assist in the writing proposals or papers.
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions
Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
Strong evidence of expertise in and expert knowledge of multiple design tools including, but not limited to Photoshop & illustrator,
Strong evidence of an understanding of digital development tools like HTML and Flash and the regulations and limitations they impose
Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
Ability to participate in development of long range planning for new projects and facilities.
Experience and ability to advise, train, teach, instruct and provide technical support to co-workers.
Ability to learn new technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating them with our systems.
Perform work of significant difficulty and high quality.
Ability to work well under pressure while multi-tasking.
Bachelors’ degree standard education.
Experience of managing and/or leading people.
Clear written, oral and presentation skills.
