Mission statement
The overall mission of the landscape architecture program is to entail our graduates to commit to the protection of the environment and to the designing of landscapes that are socially sensitive and sustainable, as well as being aesthetic. Being in the midst of a Beaux-Arts academy, students of the Institute learn the theory and practice of landscape architecture through creative work and research.
Learning objectives
1. Allow students to develop their creativity and competencies and to acquire the necessary theoretical and professional knowledge, and thus understand the link between landscape architecture and people, places and the underlying systems.
2. Introduce students to the different techniques in communication, design, site planning and construction as well as the information technologies and professional practice. Armed with these skills, the students will successfully start their professional life in landscape architecture or related professions.
3. Promote landscape architecture through seminars, conferences, study trips and awareness-raising activities.
Learning outcomes :
1. Graduates will be able to design and execute detailed plans for a wide range of projects: residential gardens, green spaces for industrial parks and office buildings, recreational parks, cultural sites, nature parks, etc.
2. Graduates will be able to work on the development of master plans for landscape planning and management institutions at national level.
3. Graduates will be prepared for employment in private or public companies in the fields of landscape architecture, architectural engineering and urban planning.

General structure of the program
The course, divided into 4 semesters, totals a volume of 600 hours of course, on a full-time basis. Candidates who already have a professional activity can benefit from a part-time study program by prolonging their education by the necessary number of semesters, for a maximum of 4 semesters.
Students are supervised by a teaching team made up of professionals who have already acquired solid experience in the field of landscape architecture, agronomy, horticulture, etc.
Conditions of admission
Candidates holding one of the following degrees are selected: engineering degree, architectural degree, bachelor's degree in sociology, economics, geography, political science or law, diploma from a major business or management school, foreign diplomas equivalents.
In order to be able to pass the master's degree at the IUA, the student must obtain a cumulative average equal to or greater than 12/20.
Graduation requirements
In order to obtain a master's degree in landscape planning once you have reached the diploma phase, the student can choose between a dissertation and a final project (PFE).
The choice of the subject of the thesis or the PFE must be validated by the pedagogical committee of the formation. For the thesis, the student will have to register for an additional course that of statistics (STAT7401).
